Member qualification

Members are admitted on demonstrated capability and tested judgment. Qualification is assessed, not assumed, and is not conferred by age, title or tenure.

Professional conduct

Members conduct themselves as representatives of an institution. Courtesy, discretion and professional restraint apply in every engagement setting.

Engagement discipline

Work is performed within a defined scope, agreed in advance. SHARP does not expand an engagement informally or offer conclusions outside the work commissioned.

Confidentiality

Institutional information encountered during an engagement is treated as confidential and is not used, referenced or published without express agreement.

Conflicts of interest

Potential conflicts are examined before an engagement is accepted and disclosed where relevant. Members withdraw where independence cannot be preserved.

Evidence

Observations and conclusions are grounded in what was actually examined. Where evidence is incomplete, the limitation is stated rather than concealed.

Independent judgment

SHARP provides the conclusion the work supports, including when that conclusion is unwelcome. Independence is the reason experienced review has value.

Institutional integrity

SHARP does not overstate its scale, history or capability, and does not accept work for which appropriate experience is unavailable.

Accountability

Engagements are conducted under institutional responsibility. SHARP stands behind the work of the professionals it assembles.

Continuing development

Membership carries an expectation of continued professional development — experience remains valuable only while it remains current in its application.

Knowledge transfer

SHARP regards the transfer of knowledge as a professional obligation rather than an optional service, within its engagements and its own institution.
